    Description

    One Minute Draping System

The time needed to perform the surgery itself is usually constant. The time needed for preparing the operating room and the patient however is subject to variability and therefore less predictable. A significant amount of OR time can be saved by standardizing the draping procedure with the EsySuit™. Not only is the draping time reduced to less than 1 minute, but the disinfection of the patient is much less time consuming.

The EsySuit™ delivers a positive contribution to the optimal use of the resources and the associated efficient functioning of the OR.

    Ease of use
Due to the unique patented design, the EsySuit™ can be applied in less than 1 minute. Even when the OR occupancy is subject to variability, the application of the EsySuit™ is quick and easy to master.

    Increased safety
Only one drape has to be handled and the number of actions to unfold the EsySuit™ are also reduced to a minimum. As a result, the probability of sterility errors is reduced proportionally.

    Increased ergonomics
The EsySuit™ is designed in such a way that lifting patient’s legs for preparation and draping is rarely necessary. Nurses are therefore hardly ever exposed to a non-ergonomic position while applying the EsySuit™.

    Time saving
The EsySuit™ is a one drape solution in which incision window and foil* are already integrated. This allows a standardized and reproducible way of draping which is a crucial part of an efficient and profitable OR.

    *Not applicable on EsySuit™ Knee

    Environmentally friendly
The EsySuit™ generates on average 66% less waste than the current standard draping. Nevertheless the EsySuit™ efficiently covers 9.6m². Hence the EsySuit™ makes a positive contribution to waste and cost management.

    Improved efficiency
The efficient functioning of the OR, without compromising on safety for both the patient and the personnel is paramount for every hospital. The EsySuit™ makes an essential contribution to this goal.

Frequently Asked Questions about the EsySuit™

Can I really drape within 1 minute?

Yes you can. The EsySuit™ is made in such a way that with good training and some practical exercises, it can be applied within a minute.

Is the duration to disinfect the patient included in this minute?

The disinfection of the patient is not included in this timing. For the EsySuit™ this is also reduced due to the specific application of EsySuit™ . For more detailed instructions, please study the videos on our website.

What is the CE-and FDA Classification of the EsySuit™ range?

The EsySuit™  range is Class I Sterile. For FDA this is Class II.

Is there an EsySuit™ range or is it only made for DAA THA?

We have a range of EsySuit™. These are for general use within the arthroplasty procedure. Supine, lateral and traction table for THA, Knee for UKA & TKA, shoulder for TSA (launched in the near future).

How many EsySuits™ are there in one box?

The EsySuit™ Supine, Lateral and Knee are single sterile packed per 5 in a box. The EsySuit™ Table is single sterile packed per 4pcs in a box.

Is the EsySuit™ safe and how many layers of fabric is it made of?

The EsySuit™ consists of 3 layers of material namely 2 impermeable layers of laminated 2SBL and a reinforcing and super absorbent top layer consisting of meltblown spunbound. This makes the EsySuit™  safe to use with increased tear and puncture resistance. Of course, you should always pay attention where you place thesharp tip of the heatened coagulation to avoid perforations.

    Does the EsySuit™ contain Latex?

No the EsySuit™ is 100% Latex free.

Is there an incision foil integrated in the EsySuit™ and if so, is it iodized?

Yes, there is an incision foil integrated. Because of possible allergic reactions to Iodine, it is not iodized and therefore neutral. (Not applicable for the EsySuit Knee)

Do I need to use other drapes besides the EsySuit™ to drape the patient?

In principle, this is not necessary. Some surgeons still use an anesthesia drape to make a separation between the operating table and the anesthesia area.
