10 Year Anniversary of Kinetec brought to you by MedFac

Today marks Kinetec USA’s 10 year anniversary as being part of the MedFac Group. Did you know that the Kinetec brand has been a known brand in the orthopedic market since the 1970s? Let’s take a little walk down memory lane of Kinetec’s history.

A History of Kinetec

3040 S

Our roots start in Charleville-Mezieres, France by M. Jean-Claude Pecheux. Following the groundbreaking research of continuous passive motions (CPM) therapy coming from Canada, Monsieur Pecheux invented the first CPM knee device. He sold the original devices exclusively in France but later expanded the product name internationally through many international exhibitions.

The 1980s saw growth of the Kinetec brand recognition in America as it was acquired by Smith & Nephew. Through the expansive network of Smith & Nephew, Kinetec was able to expand our CPM sales into over 60 countries. Throughout the 90s and early 2000s Kinetec had been acquired by a few other holding companies, all the while we were still designing and delivering high-quality rehabilitation products for the market.

Then in 2013, Kinetec was acquired by MedFac! This led to a brand-new company office in the USA in March 2014.  Due to brand and product expansion, as of February 2024 Kinetec USA Inc. moved to a new office and warehouse 3 times the size of the original USA office!

Ten years and beyond
